About
I built SteadyInkfor my girlfriend. She's currently working on her first novel, and I wanted to help her see her progress, so I started with a script to count her words and a rough spreadsheet dashboard.
Writing is slow, mostly invisible work and it's easy to lose sight of how much you've actually done. I wanted SteadyInkto be a motivating tool as much as a tracking one: a way to make that progress easy to see, and to make the effort you've already put in feel real. And without the manual logging other trackers ask for.
It turned out to be genuinely useful, and I figured other writers might want it too. The idea is simple: connect your manuscript once, and SteadyInk keeps track of the rest.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not a writer, so I've likely gotten some things wrong about what's worth measuring. If you have thoughts, I'd really like to hear them! hello@steadyink.app.
SteadyInkis free while it's in beta. Once the alpha releases, I'll introduce a low-cost paid plan (~$5/mo) - with plenty of notice before it happens, so it's never sprung on you. The first 100 people who sign up during beta get 3 months of premium free when that day comes, as a thank-you for trying it early.
More to come (obviously). Thanks for trying the beta!
